Measurements were made of the precipitates produced by the circumoval precipitin test in jserum from mice infected with Schistosoma mansoni. Mice were bled at regular intervals by means of the orbital bleeding technique in order to utilize the same animals throughout the experiment. The first circumoval precipitates (10 mu long) were detected 42 days after initial exposure. The length of precipitates increased rapidly to a maximum of 283 mu at 81 days and then decreased, rapidly at first and more gradually later on. Observations were continued up to 514 days, when the only surviving mouse was sacrificed for tissue examination. Serura: from this mouse produced precipitates 20 mu long.
