Two Cebus monkeys were infected with Schistosoma mansoni and later cured with single intramuscular injections of 40 mg/kg oxamniquine. The titre of the circumoval precipitin test of their sera gradually diminished and became negative after 240 to 280 days. In mice similarly treated, the titres became negative after 240 days. Oograms on rectal biopsies of the monkeys and on the intestines of mice showed no viable ova one month after treatment.
