Transfer of male Ancylostoma caninum together with female A. tubaeforme larvae or female A. caninum together with male A. tubaeforme larvae to kittens did not result in the production of progeny within 35 days of inoculation. In one case a single male A. caninum was recovered in the act of copulation with a female A. tubaeforme. These results support the assumption that the 2 species are genetically separate and valid.
