Mycotoxins in soy sauce and fermented soybean paste of Taiwan

Using thin-layer chromatography one sample of soy sauce was found to contain aflatoxin G2; none of the other 18 toxins assayed was detected. Among fermented soybean paste samples, there were 4 aflatoxin B2, 1 aflatoxin B1, 1 aflatoxin G1 and 8 aflatoxin G2 positive samples.
