Comparative characteristic of antibiotic activity of different Aspergillus fumigatus strains

The activity of 153 strs. against 5 bacteria and 3 yeasts (2 Saccharomyces spp. and Candida stellatoidea) was examined. Of the culture filtrate preparations, 5.7% were active against S. fragilis, 2.4% against S. vini and 5.7% against C. stellatoidea; 4.8% of mycelial preparations were active against C. stellatoidea. The preparations were also toxic to laboratory animals.
