The authors describe two cases of familiar metaphyseal dysplasia or Pyle disease found out in two young Yemeni brothers. This is a rare autosomal recessive osteodisplasia. Very typical of this disease is that during the growth, the meta physeal bone is not involving into diaphiseal bone so that in the tubular bones there is an abnormal increase of the width and length of the metaphysis with a typical aspect called: "Erlenmeyer Flask".
