N. brasiliensis larvae were incubated in monocrotophos at 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 mg a.i./g faeces, and bromfenvinphos and methylbromfenvinphos at 1.0, 2.0 and 4.0 mg a.i./g faeces. After 10 days, larvae in the higher concentrations of the pesticides were statistically significantly shorter than controls (over 0.62 mm), particularly those in 1.0 mg monocrotophos (0.56 mm). The numbers of nematodes from treated cultures developing in rats for 8 days were in all cases lower than in controls and were inversely proportional to the pesticide concentration. The numbers of eggs laid by treated nematodes were also lower.
