Groups of mice infected subcutaneously with 300 Nippostrongylus brasiliensis larvae were treated with adriamycin intraperitoneally at one mg. per kg. body-weight per day, or with hydrocortisone acetate intramuscularly at 25 mg. per kg. on alternate days. Adriamycin and hydrocortisone acetate significantly prolonged the duration of the infection and, from the 18th day of infection, the number of intestinal worms was significantly higher in treated mice than in controls.
