Two monozygotic 24-yr-old brothers with chronic mucocutaneous Candida albicans infection since the age of 8 were studied. Both also developed Epidermophyton floccosum infections but otherwise were not abnormally prone to infections. There was no endocrine dysfunction. Their cellular immunity was disturbed due to a qualitative lymphocyte defect.
