Three alpacas (Lama pacos), aged 9 to 30 days, were presented for PM examination, after death following constipation, scour, hypothermia and dehydration, varying between individuals. Degrees of intestinal congestion were discovered and the large intestines were distended with fluid. Ziehl-Neelsen stained smears of intestinal contents, revealed oocysts of Cryptosporidium parvum.
