A study has been made of the effect of zinc administration of xanthine oxidase activity and lipid peroxides levels in stress organs of the host, mouse in Plasmodium berghei infection. The results of this new approach clearly shows the ability of zinc to suppress the above two interrelated biochemical parameters and thus protect the stress organs against injury in this infection.
