The process of removing gonadotropic hormones and blood group substances during commercial production of abortion and placental .gamma.-globulin was studied with the use of isoelectric precipitation of ballast proteins and without it. Isoelectric precipitation of ballast proteins in .gamma.-globulin production contributed to additional removal of chorionic gonadotropin and blood group substances, which makes it possible to obtain preparations with a smaller content of nonspecific admixtures.
