Blood serum proteins were studied by means of the method of 2-dimensional electrophoresis with nonionic detergents in the 2nd direction. The nonionic detergents apparently influence the electrophoretic separation of blood serum proteins. Additional subfractions of albumin are observed. These subfractions have another electrophoretic mobility. Their concentrations are various in different pathology. The method of 2-dimensional electrophoresis with nonionic detergents may be useful as an additional method of screening for search of modified blood proteins.
