The observations made in Samarkand showed that emergence of C. p. molestus mosquitoes in the flooded basement floors of houses occurred throughout the year. In summer and autumn C. p. pipiens mosquitoes emerge together with the former. Both C. p. pipiens and C. p. molestus are very aggressive towards man.
