A distinct hydrodynamic and morphological heterogeneity of populations is established for 6 influenza B viruses (B/Hong Kong/5/75 standard strain and 5 strains of the virus which were isolated in Leningrad, Sverdlovsk and Khabarovsk, USSR, in 1974-76). These data may be useful when developing methods of influenza B virus purification and concentration for production of vaccine preparations.
