A case is reported in a male neonate from Spain , who developed superficial erythematous vesicular and pustular lesions, predominantly on the extremities, including palms and soles. The patient's mother had been treated for vaginal candidosis during pregnancy. Congenital cutaneous candidosis (CCC) was diagnosed after Candida albicans was cultured from exudate from the lesions; C. albicans was also cultured from vaginal samples from the mother. The lesions spontaneously resolved, and the infant remained free from further signs of CCC at 18 months follow-up.
