Nifuratel is a new Nitrofurantoin derivative synthesized by Polichimica Sap of Milan, Italy. The chemical name is: N-(5 Nitro-2-furfurylidene)- 3-amino-5-Methylmercaptomethy1-2-oxazolidinone, and its chemical formula is: C10 H11 N3 05 S. Judging from the results obtained in this trial, it would seem that Magmilor is a useful addition to the list of drugs available to the general practitioner, since it has a wide spectrum of activity and our results show it to be particularly effective in the treatment of vulvo-vaginitis.
