This paper examines the manner in which non-formal education might support and promote primary health care. It examines aspects such as the problem of coverage, priority groups, strategies of implementation (including ensuring popular participation and integration with related services). Some examples are given from projects in Mexico, China, Paraguay, India, Costa Rica and Sri Lanka.
