In trials on 3 groups of 5 dogs orally infected with 220 Uncinaria stenocephala larvae, tetramisole at 15 mg. per kg. body-weight daily for 3 consecutive days was most effective as judged by worm count at autopsy 7 days after the end of treatment (no worms in 3 dogs, 3 in one and one in another). Thiabendazole at 100 mg. per kg. daily for 3 consecutive days was ineffective, worm burdens after 7 days being the same as in controls.
