This paper reports a new diterpene, named triptonoterpenol, C21H30O4, mp 197 .apprx. 199.degree.C, which was isolated from Tripterygium wilfordii Hook. f. The structure of triptonoterpenol was elucidated on the basis of MS, IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR spectroscopic analysis and X-ray diffraction methods.
