Proteins and DNA deficits in adult mouse brain after tritium treatment

Present study is an attempt to evaluate the changes in DNA and protein concentration of young adult Swiss albino mice brain at 1, 3, 5, 7, 15 and 30 days after low level tritiated water injection 3 .mu.Ci(111 kBq)/g body wt. DNA content showed a gradual decline from 1st day post injection. This decline, which was not significant initially became significantly higher after 5th day post injection. Protein content however, were not affected. Protein/DNA ratio is found increasing with advancing post injection intervals.
