Under conditions of sensitivization with brain antigen in dogs, changes in amino acid composition of the brain protein fractions occurred. The ratio of negatively charged amino acids to positively charged ones is sharply shifted towards predominance of the negative charge. Such a brain protein modification activates acid peptide hydrolases and intensifies the sensitivity of the proteins to these acid proteinases.
