The c.f. test is the only serological test of practical value for the diagnosis of bedsonia (Chlamydia) infection in animals. The antibody response of artificially and naturally infected calves is described. A bedsonia (strain F1) isolated from a pneumonic calf was used for infecting colostrum-deprived calves and for the preparation of antigen.
