A radionuclide method was used to study the volume of the circulating blood, minute and stroke volumes, minute and stroke indices, coefficient of efficacy of the circulation and general peripheral resistance. Apparently, the hemodynamic state of patients with the primary pulmonary hypertension, depends on the functional capacity of the myocardium, especially on the right ventricle. Magnitudes of minute and stroke indices depend on the stage of circulatory insufficiency.
