A plate c.f. test based on that described by Lindley (1960), and used for the diagnosis of bovine pleuropneumonia at Vom, is based on a series of complement dilutions and a constant serum dilution. No cattle purchased for the laboratory or for the cattle ranches have developed pleuropneumonia after having passed the test.
