Affected 1-2-week-old turkey poults showed trembling, ataxia and c.n.s. depression. A virus similar to that of avian encephalomyelitis of chickens was isolated. The c.n.s. of infected poults showed focal and diffuse gliosis, neuronal necrosis and perivascular cuffing.
