Five raccoons (Procyon lotor) (6 months old) were inoculated oronasally with 105 TCID50 of virulent canine parvovirus. None became ill, and they were still susceptible to challenge with a raccoon enteritis parvovirus, which was found to be antigenically more closely related to feline panleukopenia virus than to canine parvovirus.
