C. perfrings spores are detected in all seasons in marine water of the Odessa bay littoral water area. Water dissemination with the clostridia under study is much higher during gales when beach sand, where C. perfringens spores are regularly found in large amounts, get into marine water. The highest inoculability of C. perfringens spores from marine water is observed in summer, during the bathing season. Their rather quick sedimentation on the bottom favors self-purification of marine water. The spores concentrated in the bottom sediments retain their viability for a long time, and if there are conditions favoring the bottom sediments to get into water thickness, they may disseminate it again.
