Prevalence of bluetongue viral antibodies in Louisiana goats

A total of 504 goat serum samples collected from October 1979 to October 1980 in Louisiana were tested for bluetongue viral antibodies by an immunodiffusion test. Positive goats were found in 7 of the 38 (18.4%) herds included in the survey. Antibodies were detected in 14 (2.8%) of the goat samples.
