A study of 428 people diagnosed clinically as having dermatomycosis resulted in detection of 205 who were positive microscopically or culturally from whom 181 isolates were obtained viz. 98 Trichophyton rubrum, 21 T. violaceum, 11 T. mentagrophytes, 3 T. verrucosum, 6 T. sp., 7 Epidermophyton floccosum, 28 Candida and 7 Aspergillus. Humoral antibody was demonstrated in 53 of 341 sera tested.
