Four groups of five worm-free lambs were infected with 1500 Dictyocaulus filaria larvae and 7 days later with 25 000 Ostertagia circumcincta and Trichostrongylus colubriformis larvae. Three groups were dosed with albendazole on the 10th, 17th and 27th days, respectively. Egg counts on the 27th day were negative in the first two groups. All lambs were slaughtered on the 33rd day. PM worm counts showed reductions of 97.5-100% compared with untreated controls.
