The presence of high levels of acid phosphatase, non-specific esterase and leucine aminopeptidase in some small cells and giant multinuclear cells suggest the presence of mononuclear phagocytic system cells in tissue culture of mouse neoplastic fibroblast L cells. These are identified as precursors of some giant multinuclear cells.
