Seven species of helminths, 3 new, were collected on examination of 39 Octodon degus from Santiago, Chile. Aprostatandrya octodonensis n.sp. from the intestine differs from A. sciuri in the distribution of the testes, shape of the seminal receptacle and size of the eggs, from A. neotomae and A. macrocephala in the number of testes per proglottid, and from A. africana and A. monodi in the number of testes and shape of the cirrus sac. Graphidioides taglei n.sp. from the stomach and intestine differs from related species in combinations of morphological characteristics including size, egg size, presence of cervical papillae, arrangement of the bursal rays, length of the ovejector and position of the excretory pore. Longistriata degusi n.sp. from the intestine differs from L. eta and L. neotoma in the arrangement of the bursal rays, body size and in the size of the spicules, and from L. novibariae in having inconspicuous cephalic cuticular striations, the size and arrangement of the bursal rays and in the presence of a sheath on the female tail. Other species recovered were Physaloptera sp. (briefly described), Trichuris bradleyi, Octodonthoxys gigantea, and Heteroxynema chiliensis.
