Blood characters, microclimate and carcass characters were evaluated for 375 000 broilers housed at densities of 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18/m2. At 60 days of age, the oven-ready dressing percentage averaged 64.4, 63.6, 62.7, 60.3 and 56.6 resp., and meat percentage of the carcass 42.1, 43.3, 42.1, 41.3 and 41.6.
