Of seventeen species of Phlebotomines that have been recorded from Uzbekistan (Soviet Union), 7 belong to the genus Sergentomyia. They are S. sintoni Pringle (arpaklensis (Perfil'ev)) (the most widespread), S. grekovi (Khodukin), S. sogdiana (Parr.), S. sumbarica (Perfil'ev), S. clydei (Sinton), S. squamipleuris (Newst.) and S. pawlowskyi (Perfil'ev). The distribution of each is briefly noted.
