Calves were dosed with 30 or 50 thousand oocysts from five species of Eimeria commonly found in cattle. The infection failed to develop into clinical coccidiosis in calves given food containing chlortetracycline equivalent to a daily dose of 350 mg, plus sulphadimidine in the same dosage, providing administration of the medicated food commenced five days before infection and continued for 30 days afterwards.
