The authors describe further studies carried out to determine the exact nature and relationships of Hymenolepis nana, H. fraterna, H. diminuta and Rodentolepis straminea antigens by immunoelectrophoretic and electrophoretic separations. Hymenolepidid antigens comprised proteins, lipids and hyaluronic acid. H. diminuta and R. straminea antigens contained glycolipids which were absent in antigens of the other hymenolepidids.
