Investigation of the breeding records of 154 Dairy Shorthorn bulls in Argentina showed that 66% of 123 seemed to be fully fertile. The remaining 31 were the offspring of one bull imported from England, and only 11 were fully fertile; 6 had abnormal testicular consistency, 7 had partial aplasia of the vesicular gland, 4 had bilateral testicular hypoplasia and one had aplasia of the right cauda epididymidis and the right ampulla ductus deferentis. These abnormalities were attributed to segmental aplasia of the wolffian duct. There is no information on semen properties.
