Possibilities of echography in pediatric gynecology

An ultrasonic study conducted in 272 children and adolescents aged 2 to 18 years has established the uterine and ovarian size in normal children as well as specific echographic patterns associated with various abnormalities (menstrual disorders, abnormal sexual development, genital malformations, tumours and tumour-like growth). It is concluded that echography should necessarily be introduced into clinical gynecology of children and adolescents.
