The paper treats of the results of studies in, and plans are drawn on the most pressing problems of physiology and pathology of sexual maturation. A physiologically coursing period of sexual maturation is discussed with consideration to the establishment of the central regulating mechanisms of the reproductive system during sexual maturation. Of pathological disturbances of the sexual maturation period the problems of etiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture and treatment and possible aspects of a further study of dysfunctional uterine hemorrhages, of premature and delayed sexual maturation are discussed. The structure of organization, prophylactic and therapeutic aid in gynecological diseases of children and adolescents are also presented.
