After a review of the literature, a case of pedunculated oesophageal lipoma is described. It was encountered in a patient who had complained of progressive dysphagia. The value and limitations of oesophagograph endoscopy and TAC in pre-operative diagnosis are indicated. Surgical removal of the lipoma whatever its morphology is recommended.
