The author relates a case of duodenal obstruction caused by South-American blastomycosis in a 10-years old child. The rarity of such a clinical presentation of Lutz 's disease is stressed, and attention is drawn on the occurrence of the duodenal obstruction syndrome. Some considerations on abdominal forms of South-American blastomycosis as well as on the need of surgical intervention in this disease are presented.
