UV spectroscopy, circular dichroism and foot printing were used to demonstrate the formation of associates of phthalocyanine cobalt complex with DNA-duplexes. The nature of the interaction of the complex with double strand DNAs depends on their nucleotide sequence. Dissociation constants of the associates were determined.
