Topics discussed in this review are the diagnosis and treatment of canine prostate disease and including bacterial prostatitis, prostatic cysts, prostatic adenocarcinoma, prostatic hyperplasia, prostate abcess and paraprostatic cysts. It is concluded that most types of prostate disease, with the exception of neoplasia, can be prevented by neutering male dogs.
