State of induced lipid peroxidation in the heart of mature and aged rats under stress

The investigations conducted have shown that in the myocardium of aged rats the intensity of lipid peroxidation prevails over its value in young animals. This leads to formation of the age-related peculiarities of the lipid peroxidation response to the action of stressor factors and to the change of the antioxidants' effect on induced lipid peroxidation reactions in the heart.
