Two constituents were isolated from the gall of Python molurus bivittus Schlegel, one is sodium taurodeoxycholate(I). The other is a new compound sbd sodium tauropythocholate (II). Its structure was elucidated as 3-alpha, 12-alpha, 16-alpha, trihydroxy-5-cholan-24-oic acid N-(2-sulfoethyl)amide by IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, MS 13C-1H COSY, and chemical reaction.
