Some of the properties of sertaconazole which demonstrate its promise as an advancement in topical antifungal therapy are briefly outlined in a preface (in English and Spanish) to a collection of 21 papers. The individual contributions cover all aspects of sertaconazole, including its synthesis, in vitro activity, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, toxicity and therapeutic efficacy in treating superficial mycoses. Each paper is abstracted separately. A key word index is provided.
