Groups of 5 guineapigs were subcutaneously immunized with 2 doses (21 days apart) of 5, 000 infective Dictyocaulus viviparus larvae X-irradiated by exposure to 20, 30, 40 or 50 kr. 12 days after the second inoculation they were challenged orally with 5, 000 larvae and protective immunity assessed on the basis of larval recovery from the lungs 7 days later.
