Eight calves aged 3 to 5 months were infected orally with 10,000 or 20,000 3rd-stage Dictyocaulus viviparus larvae and killed 10 to 62 days later. Histological examination revealed pulmonary lesions typical of this infection but the presence of larvae and mature worms in the arteries (in 3 calves), large veins (4), and lymphatic vessels (5) is a new finding.
