A foreign body in the abomasum of cattle is not a common finding in the veterinary practice. In the present paper the results of a field study with clinical symptoms and nonoperative and operative treatments are reported. Because of the rareness of the cases with a sharp foreign body in the abomasum, the problem reported seems to have only a limited practical importance.
